We currently on the lookout for a Financial Accounting & Treasury Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team! Reporting to the Financial Accounting & Treasury Lead, this role will be working closely with the Regional Integrated Business Services (IBS) team to analyse, prepare and review key monthly accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly results. This includes but not limited to accounting of leases, inventory, intercompany transactions while ensuring adherence to all Australian and US GAAP accounting policies and standard.

Your ‘day to day’:

As a Financial Accounting & Treasury Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Provide on-going support to ad hoc queries as requested by other internal departments so they can interpret and understand their results
• Act as the Finance contact point for any process improvement initiatives and ad-hoc projects, requiring accounting inputs and advice
• Support and review of local, statutory reporting prepared by the IBS team such as the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) reports
• Support the update of authorised bank signatories through liaising with the Regional Treasury team and local legal department to coordinate Board Meetings and updating banking mandates
• Support the audit of internal Risk and Controls SOX testing and any external audit requests when required.
• Ensure strong and robust controls environment and adherence to all SOX controls under the department
• Assess and approve access to SAP Accounting System based on job requirements
• Support the Financial Controlling team in preparing budgets and rolling forecast that is accurate and timely for leases, fixed assets and inventory.
• Inventory Stocktake – co-ordinate annual stocktakes on inventory as required by internal policies and procedures. Liaise with the third party logistics provider on analysis and reconciliation of stocktake results to be communicated back to Management.
• Fixed Assets Stocktake – co-ordinate annual stocktakes on fixed assets as required by internal policies and procedures.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• CPA/CA qualification OR equivalent experience (5+ years)
• Financial Accounting experience
• Tertiary qualifications in a Business or Finance related field
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (financial modelling and analysis)
• Exceptional attention to detail
• SAP experience is highly desirable
