Phase II Transportation, Inc is a family owned full service transportation and broker logistics company located in Vancouver, WA. Our goal is to find an individual who has experience in bookkeeping and is familiar with trucking/ logistics operations who wants to contribute to our success and be part of our team!
This position will be responsible for overseeing day to day tasks such as A/R, A/P, payroll, bank deposits and reconciliations, generating statements, preparation of s, problem solving, and compliance verification.
RESPONISBILITIES:
· Perform daily accounting activities by maintaining the accounts receivables and payables. Processing invoices, and collections on past due invoices. Communicate with customers to help resolve payment issues.
· Track expenses, budget, taxes, receipts, and other financial dealings of the company.
· Provide ing of accounts receivable to VP of Operations
· Manage bank account deposits and reconciliation of bank account
· Skilled in credit card management and reconciliation
· Monitor company licensing, insurance, permits and various certificates
· Prepare financial statements and invoices from Quick books software
· Biweekly payroll where you’ll be entering payroll, ensuring accuracy of payments, posting payroll records, collecting and verifying hours worked, taxes, preparing and issuing paychecks.
· Respond to payroll-related inquiries from staff and administration and ability to resolve any concerns
· Manage employment paperwork for new employees
· Prepare monthly and quarterly tax documents and filings
· Year-end closing duties to provide to our CPA
· Improve and keep accurate records and files
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
ü Proficient in Quick books desktop and online, Excel and Word.
ü Strong organization and analytical skills. Detail oriented.
ü 2+ years of experience in related field
ü Strong experience with payroll and Quick books software
ü Knowledge of wage and hour laws and payroll taxes/benefits.
ü Knowledge of DOT regulations and trucking operations preferred
ü Develop and maintain client relationships

· Self-Motivated, proactive, and capable of prioritizing workload
· Skilled at handling multiple tasks and demonstrating adaptability
· Alpha and numeric filing skills
