The Junior Systems Administrator position is to be responsible for supporting users, maintaining all hardware and software respecting the Pharma Medica Research Inc (PMRI) standard operating procedures (SOPs). The Junior Systems Administrator position reports to the Sr. IT Administrator and/or designate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Crate and manage user accounts, mailboxes, and shared mailboxes.
Provides ongoing maintenance and support for the end user devices infrastructure (laptops, application, basic networking, authentication issues, VPN connections, etc..) with little to no assistance
Perform updates for production application when it required.
Provide basic support on Virtual machines and virtual servers.
Manage the Help Desk as the first level of support.
Log all requests to helpdesk portal (Manage engine ticketing tool)
Responsible for independently evaluating systems, analyzing complex issues and problems, performance metrics, troubleshooting, resolving break fixes and testing resolutions with technical teams.
Provide support for hardware, peripherals, and network access.
Provide support for office365 applications and other software as assigned.
Research various problems to provide appropriate responses to end users, be able to do basic troubleshooting and assist users through simple procedures.
Perform regular backup of servers including tape labeling, rotation, and placement in safe storage.
Monitor voice mail, e-mail, messages, and related information for support inquiries. Coordinate and maintain a log of request activities of the Help Desk, be able to prioritize service requests according to importance, i.e., emergency, immediate, high priority, moderate, general or suggestion.
Provide administration of computer accounts and passwords.
Coordinate Information Technology Services office activities.
Generate requisitions, purchase orders, receiving, and asset tags, forwarding all appropriate information to the accounts payable office.
Other duties as required.
Requirements:
Degree in Information Technology or related field
2-5 years IT Helpdesk and Technical Support
Team player
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to work closely with all departments and personnel to ensure all computer technology needs and requirements are achieved
