Position Purpose

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full life-cycle talent acquisition : recruiting, assessing, acquiring and facilitating the processing necessary for placement in open positions throughout the company.

The facilitation of this position mandates considerable skill in interviewing techniques, comprehensive Knowledge of all functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company’s organizational structure and the capacity to adhere to organizational policy and procedure regarding federal and state laws governing employment practices.

Tasks

• Facilitate HRIS procedures (authorized job requisitions through intent to hire).
• Process, monitor and maintain applicant data and status into the company’s applicant tracking system component of the HRIS.
• Utilize HRIS to effective qualify and refer applicants to hiring manager for interviewing.
• Coordinates with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for position(s).
• Acts as liaison with all internal and external PGL talent acquisition partnerships.
• Maintain candidate status within HRIS to effectively notify the hiring manager(s) and management team of important acquisition updates (starting date, requisition reference info, IT requirements, etc.).
• Utilize HRIS to understand, prepare and talent acquisition statistics and KPIs.
• Execute recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels.
• Contact job applicants to inform them of their status.
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
• Facilitate and maintain the effective integration of our key talent acquisition partnerships with the PGL HR information system.
• Schedules and attends job / career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.
• Provides information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.
• Arranges travel and lodging for applicants, if necessary.

Education and Experience

Years of Experience : 1-3 Years of direct talent acquisition experience along with continuous professional as well as personal advancement and development.

Experience / exposure to the Freight Forwarding / 3PL industry is a plus.

Working knowledge of Paycom Talent Acquisition (Applicant Tracking / Candidate Tracker) system would be preferred but is not required.

Education : Industry related degree and / or certification
