Position Summary
The successful candidate will be counted on to build the next talent generation platform and lead the execution of an ongoing, comprehensive organization wide (Stores and Store Support Center) recruiting strategy. Responsibilities include the efficient management of the recruitment process where we ensure not only are the needs met of our business partners but that our applicants, regardless of outcome, remain loyal fans of our business. The Manager, Talent Acquisition will achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating candidates; advising managers; effective onboarding; creating healthy relationships with internal customers and external partners; and providing exemplary customer service to candidates, clients, and HR business partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationship with business leaders across the organization to ensure understanding of business objectives

• Understand current talent landscape and participate in detailed succession planning to learn future talent needs to plan and take action on resolving gaps and building for the future

• Understand the varied and diverse responsibilities and positions across our business to ensure right fit between candidate and organization

• Build effective and communicative relationships with candidates to help us remain competitive and clearly articulate our Culture and value proposition in an already competitive market and enhance customer experience levels and produce a high offer closure rate

• Screen and evaluate applicants presented to hiring managers for competence, background and skill set, as well as overall ability to fit and thrive within the organization

• Develop, deliver and maintain standardized full-cycle recruiting processes and tools to ensure best practice and consistency; including sourcing (targeted resume search, job postings, referrals, and direct sourcing or other methods), selecting, hiring, and onboarding

• Establish, deliver and communicate appropriately on all recruitment, hiring and retention KPI’s.

• Ensure compliance with all local government laws and regulations, including regular audits and updates of all processes throughout the recruitment and hiring processes

• Execute a consistent streamlined communication and education plan relative to talent acquisition programs, projects and systems for all business partners

• Communicate with constituents outside the organization, representing the organization to potential employees where appropriate

• Become the expert on all things related to the labor market and clearly present opportunities to leadership

• Ensure diversity and inclusion is embedded in our recruiting processes and approach

• Make data-based decisions that result in positive outcomes for the business

Continuous Improvement

• Consistently review all processes and tools for continuous process improvement

• Provide guidance and change leadership in the standardization and leveraging of talent acquisition across the organization, ensuring an exceptional experience regardless of where or at what point in the recruitment and hiring process

• Drive continuous improvement in the usage of our talent acquisition systems and processes by identifying areas of inefficiency, and ensuring accurate documentation of processes for all department procedures

• Continually evaluate all sources to look for the most productive and those that produce the greatest ROI.

• Ensure appropriate use of metrics to gauge recruiting status including cost per hire, time to fill, time to start, turnover, and diversity engagement.

System, Project and Event Management

• Serve as point of contact and drive results for talent acquisition related projects e.g. new stores

• Work with HR partners to ensure robust job descriptions are developed and maintained for all positions to ensure requisiti0ons are opened properly

• Partner to ensure compensation parameters are built and adhered to for all open requisitions to provide accurate base pay for candidates

• Capture, code, and store all relevant candidate and current employee information in the applicant tracking software system

• Own the development, updating and communication of all hiring, staffing and performance reports as necessary
• Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications: Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Design, or related field (Relevant work experience can be substituted for the required education)

• Strong knowledge and experience of retail operations, sales management, and customer service

• Ability to work independently, multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment

• Must have excellent inter-personal and communication skills

• Thorough understanding of end-to-end recruitment life cycle processes

• Understanding of HR practices/principles and applicable Federal and State legal regulations as they relate to the sourcing and recruitment process, especially equal employment opportunity (EEO), affirmative action (AA) guidelines, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Great, humble attitude and desire to provide excellent service to all business partners

• Proven success in building positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Have operated in complex and highly matrixed organizations

• Leveraged data and analysis to identify problems and drive meaningful results.

• Strong experience and aptitude in current recruiting technologies: including Microsoft Office products, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably Workday and internet sourcing tools

Preferred

• Previous experience working in Retail with locations in multiple states

• Employment branding and social media experience strongly preferred

• Demonstrated consulting and advising skills

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and typical hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (hours may vary based on business requirements). This position regularly requires hours flexible to the weekly work demands and candidate must be able to work a flexible work week which may require hours earlier than 8:30 or later than 5:00 as work priorities dictate. Occasional weekend or holiday work may be required but is limited.Supervisory Responsibility:

• This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
