PG Assist are a specialized managed service provider. We provide laboratory, admin, IT and misc. services to a large, highly respected, blue-chip company, who create branded goods and services across the Globe.

We require a developer to join our digital innovation team based at a site in Longbenton, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.

Our DI team develops and supports digital solutions for our client’s R&D department for use in management, data capture, reporting, visualisation, etc.

• have excellent communication skills including the ability to build strong work relationships
• learn on the go and develop a diverse skillset and wide range of technologies
• manage your own workload and achieve targets across multiple projects
• liaise with clients and translate their business requirements and objectives into functional technology that benefits their organisation
• develop, evaluate and test fit-for-purpose applications

You should be ready to support projects using some of the following key skills:

• Web development using Javascript with Python and/or C#
• Use and development of APIs
• Familiarity with SQL/use of databases

Experience with following are of interest but not essential to the role:

• SQL, MySQL, Oracle and NoSQL
• Stats tools and languages like R, JMP, MATLAB and Pipeline Pilot
• Data Analytics
• Power BI
• Big Data Platform Technologies
• Git / Source Control
• Agile development
• Mobile computing (eg iPad/iPhone/Android) app development

This position is typically based on site but at-home working is facilitated.

Hours: Typically, Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm with some flexibility around core operating hours 9am – 3:30pm
