PFB Custom Homes Group/PrecisionCraft Log & Timber Homes is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our growing company. The position is based at our Meridian, ID office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to advance to more senior roles within the company.

We are looking for an qualified, high energy Assistant Accountant that will bring their expertise and skills to our rapidly expanding Design-Build business. POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform various accounting & administrative functions with a high standard of professionalism and showing discretionary behavior while dealing with privileged and sensitive information.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLILITIES:

General Responsibilities:

• Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with PFB Custom Homes Group employee manual, training manual and as directed by the company CFO and Assistant Controller and President.
• Maintains confidentiality on all matters relating to the affairs of PFB Custom Homes Group and its staff.
• All other task as assigned by the CFO and/or Assistant Controller.

Specific Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Reconciliations
• A/P.
• All Prepaid Expense Accounts.
• All I/C Accounts – Within US & Cross Border
• Reviewing change orders
• Contract Administration
• DDA compliance
• All others as assigned by Assistant Controller.

• Accounts Payable*

• Match purchase orders & receivers to vendor invoices
• Correctly code vendor invoices to general ledger accounts or jobs.
• Data entry of vendor invoices
• Maintain accurate vendor ledgers
• Printing of vendor checks on a weekly basis
• Review/Reconciliation of all vendor statements
• Review/Reconcile credit card accounts
• Examine and balance employee expenses
• 1099 Compliance and reporting

• Design Build*

• Accounts Receivable

• Deposits and distribution of monies received
• Prepare Monthly Design Build Construction Draw
• Maintain monthly bank reconciliation

• Accounts Payable

• Match work orders/purchase orders to subcontractor/vendor invoices
• Data entry of vendor invoices
• Review/Reconciliation of all vendor/subcontractor statements
• Printing of vendor/subcontractor checks once draw payment received
• Prepare and maintain monthly lien releases

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE SKILLS

• AA in Accounting Degree preferred
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience in a construction environment preferred
• Team Player
• Self-directed/motivated
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of MS Office – Especially Excel and Word
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)/IFRS
• Accurate 10 Key.
• Typing skills
• Mathematical skill.
• Critical-thinking/Problem solving skills.
• Written / Verbal skills.
• Knowledge of Federal, State and local laws relating to employment and taxes
