Petrofac is currently looking to recruit a Senior Manager – Technical Accounting and External Reporting on a permanent basis based in London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Taking ownership of the Group’s multi-currency consolidation process using Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud (“FCCS”), which involves:
  • Setting up reporting calendars
  • Timely and accurate posting of all elimination and necessary consolidation adjustments
  • Liaising with reporting entities to ensure a timely and accurate close
  • Monitoring reporting progress against agreed timelines
  • Preparation and review of various quarterly, semi-annual, annual and ad-hoc deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting requirements.
  • Review financial information submitted by operating and reporting segments by performing robust second line of defence reviews to ensure quality and integrity of the financial information submitted.
  • Keeping up to date with new International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”), amendments and interpretations as issued by the International Accounting Standards Board (“IASB”)
  • Ensuring that changes in accounting policies are implemented properly
  • Acting as a point of contact for external auditors on any technical accounting matters
• Preparation of bi-annual Group consolidated financial statements and preparation/review of subsidiary financial statements, which involves:
  • Owning the statutory reporting and Group reporting templates to ensure they are up to date, including preparation of skeleton financial statements templates
  • Prepare/review parent company and subsidiary financial statements
  • Perform both remote and on-site balance sheet review procedures for Group subsidiaries
• Ensure that the Group’s financial controls framework is design and operationally effective, which involves:
  • Design, assess, implement and monitor a robust Financial Controls Assurance Framework (“FCAF”), governance and methodology.
  • Prepare and manage the ongoing quarterly and annual reporting process for the FCAF to senior management and the board
  • Assist with risk management activities and reporting
  • Carry out the UK SOX implementation project

Essential Skills:

• Degree level education (Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics are preferred major fields)
• Qualified Chartered Accountant having at least 10 years post qualification experience
• Knowledge of IFRS experience in consolidated financial reporting.
• Prior experience of complex group consolidation and audits
• Experience of EPC oil and gas business is preferred
