Petix is a fast-growing company in the pet supplies business and the makers of WizSmart All Day Dry Dog Pads. We are market-leaders in premium and sustainable dog pads and are expanding in North America. We sell our WizSmart dog pads in over 2,000 pet specialty stores in all 50 states and in Canada. We also sell on our own websites (www.wizsmart.com and www.petix.com) and on Amazon and other MarketPlaces. We are expanding our product offering adding a new line (WizSmart Essentials) and also WizSmart dog diapers.

We import containers FOB from Brazil where products are made in our own factory. We use contracted warehouses that fulfill orders to our distributors and Key Accounts and online orders.

Job requires some in-person work and also allows for remote work.

Description

– Track inventory across the warehouses (3PLs) by accessing their portals.

– Update with new Purchase Orders

– Check and update inbound container status

– Update monthly demand estimates with QuickBooks data monthly

– Review order data and sales forecast

– Establish minimums and reordering points.

– Place orders with factory for respective warehouse.

– Monitor and quote and contract ocean freight costs and dray end-to-end.

– Monitor and quote and contract domestic freight forwarding services (LTLs and FTLs).

– Confirm, ship and invoice customer orders. Receive POs, check pricing/terms, inventory status and submit orders to warehouse.

– Use our leadboard to request and track domestic freight quotes.

– Invoice and track.

– Monitor Amazon inventory and “Send to Amazon” when needed using the Amazon workflow.

– Establish metrics/KPIs to monitor warehouse costs, tracking budgets and contract terms against actuals.

– Closely follow the transportation process and the movement of goods.

– Inventory control and audits

– Work very closely with Sales and Management.

Responsibilities and Duties

Accountabilities

• Full responsibility for all logistics operations, end to end
• Quote and execute day to day logistics needs
• Conduct RFP processes with new vendors
• As needed, negotiate new contracts with warehouses/3PLs
• Establish metrics
• Work with management to create sales forecasts to predict demand by SKU, sales channel and location
• Support management with business analytics

Qualifications and Skills

Skills, Experience and Education

• A successful track record of 5 years in Logistics
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Very strong quantitative skills
• Very strong modeling/excel skills (no exception, advanced Excel is a requirement)
• Proven negotiation skills
• Entrepreneurial spirit and high energy level
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Good understanding of retail business operations
• HS Diploma or GED required, Bachelor Degree a plus
