Job purpose

The virtual teacher is responsible for providing all aspects of synchronous learning for students. Using the district LMS, the VT will provide both live instruction, support, assessing student learning, and differentiating instruction, while providing rigorous, relevant, and engaging learning experiences for all students.

Knowledge and Skills

• 
  Minimum of 3 years knowledge and experience teaching the K-12 curriculum

• 
  Knowledge and experience teaching in a virtual environment

• 
  Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• 
  Minimum of 3 years experience and knowledge of technology and media resources and systems

• 
  Demonstrates a strong connection between curriculum and technology integration

Qualification Requirements

• 
  Holds a current NC teaching License (or other state equivalent)

• 
  Able to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
