PERSOLKELLY Hiring for Junior Cost Controller – FIFO Job at Perth Full Time

We are currently seeking a Junior Cost Controller for a respected brand in the Australian marketplace.

This role would be perfect for someone with a degree in Accounting and some experience, but who wants to build their career further.

This is an initial 6-month contract with the intention of being a long-term career role. You’ll be working for one of Australia’s biggest employers who reward high performance, so this is a real chance to build your career with a giant in the mining industry.

This position is FIFO to Port Hedland on a 4:3/5:2 roster, working 12 hour days on site.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Raise PR’s to support Projects and Execution team
• Timepro owner (labour cost allocation) ensuring disciplines are kept in timesheet completion and accuracy.
• Prepare monthly accruals workbooks for Projects team at month end and post accruals, analysing monthly performance of actuals v forecast.
• Prepare monthly forecast workbooks for Projects team critically analysing forecasts for achievability.
• Prepare monthly journals and maintain cost registers.
• Reviews and verifies labour timesheet claims prior to invoice approval.

In terms of your background, you’ll have:

• Some experience in management or cost accounting, cost control and financial reporting
• Some Financial analytical and modelling skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
