We are looking for an Associate Buyer with retail experience who enjoys working in a face-paced environment to join our Miami team!

The associate buyer is responsible for collaborating with planning, marketing, design, E-comm, and the stores to build assortments and merchandising strategies for the retail stores and E-comm site. The Associate Buyer will create the best overall customer experience in stores and online by monitoring assortments to maintain a consistent brand image while delivering and exceeding sales and margin plans.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
     * Execute merchandising strategies and seasonal line plans to build profitable assortments that minimally achieve margin goals.
     * Understand target customers; shop retail stores and online competition, and provide competitive analysis to enhance brand strategies and opportunities
     * Generate product knowledge information and strategies to provide to the store’s associates and E-comm team
     * Provide visual tools (line lists, look books, merchandising books) for stores, online, and planning teams to ensure one vision at the point of sale
     * Train and develop junior staff
     * Analyze retail sales and margins to identify opportunities for improving inventory turns
     * Develop strategies to increase margins and Average Unit Retail
     * Develop pricing strategies with appropriate markdown cadences
     * Build and recommend product assortments by the delivery date
     * Build core programs and critical items
     * Responsible for working with planning on the flow of inventory and receipts
     * Develop daily, weekly and monthly reporting for key metrics to manage the business to meet inventory turn and revenue goals

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
     * Knowledge of product development process
     * Knowledge of brand management
     * Knowledge of retail math
     * Proficient in Excel

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
     * Bachelor’s degree required
     * 2-3 years of experience in an Assistant Buyer role
     * Fashion industry experience required
