Perry Ellis International Hiring for ASSISTANT SOURCING MANAGER at Miami, Florida Full Time

We are currently looking for an Assistant Sourcing Manager to join our team in Miami, FL! 

SUMMARY

Assist in planning, negotiating and sourcing apparel to insure on-time delivery of quality product while satisfying margin requirements and Perry Ellis’ commitment to basic Human Rights. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
     * Primary link of communications to suppliers in the negotiation of products.
     * Evaluates and explores new sourcing opportunities in a variety of geographic areas when it emerges.
     * Conducts costing analysis and keeps cost records from a variety of vendors for each development.
     * Assist with any issues that require sourcing expertise to resolve problems and move along the process.
     * Maintains production time and action calendar and communicate properly to merchandising / planning/ technical design team

     * Proficient with Google Drive/Applications or related software.

     * Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

     * Knowledge of retail sales and manufacturing sourcing process
     * Skill and ability in developing sourcing strategies and plans 
     * Ability to work well with management in merchandising and sales team
     * Skill in negotiating with vendors on prices       

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
     * Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field 
     * 5+ years of experience, with three years at the management level     
     * Prior experience working in a manufacturing or retail environment with knowledge and hands on experience in sourcing.
