We are looking for an ambitious individual looking to kickstart their finance career within a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for someone that is eager to learn and grow.
How we work together
We are a small, rapidly growing team and you would report directly into an experienced Finance Manager and work alongside the Management Accountant. We are a collaborative team tackling problems and creating meaningful impact across the entire business.
What success looks like for this role in 12 months
Made headway in your accountancy qualification including completing a couple of exams. Identified and implemented process improvements including automation of transactions. Developed relationships with key suppliers and be able to handle queries autonomously.
What you’ll do
Ultimately be responsible for managing the accounts payable process from invoice processing, approval and preparation of payments runs
Process payments and receipts in the accounting system and complete bank reconciliations
Month end support including preparing payroll journals and balance sheet reconciliations
Liaising with the sales team on Sales Order Form details, credit control, raising invoices and credit notes
Project support to the Finance Manager and Management Accountant across audit, business partnering and systems improvement
Requirements
It’s the perfect role for you if you have:
0-2 years’ experience
Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
The ability to manage high volumes of work and strong organisational skills
Great communication skills
Experience using Excel
Ambition to study towards an accountancy qualification

Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Accountancy or finance degree
Have a general interest in books, reading and always learning new things

Like many, we’ve adapted our flexible work policy off the back of this year. We offer the option for you to choose to work from home or the office. However, we will likely require you to be available to come into the office at least part-time following Covid-19.

Base holiday
30 days base holiday (22 days + 8 bank holidays)
Christmas break
In addition to your base holiday – the office will be shut for certain days over the Christmas holidays to allow everyone to have a break

The range available for this role is from £24,000 – £28,000 + Education Support
