Perk Canada is Looking for Content Creator (Freelance) Full Time

Perk.com Canada Inc. is a digital media publishing company located in Kitchener, ON that owns and operates advertising-supported editorial websites in various categories. We develop large, targeted audiences across a range of channels, and deliver them relevant, authentic, engaging content created by experts in the space.

We are currently looking for a freelance content creator to help us write articles for our editorial websites. If you’re a fast writer who loves research, fact-checking, isn’t afraid of tight deadlines, and is willing to embrace AI to help kickstart your work, this is the role for you.

THE ROLE

Here’s what your day to day will look like: This position is responsible for writing quality articles fast. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable researching and writing on a variety of topics and can submit work within tight deadlines (we’re talking hours, not days). You’re not afraid to use AI to help research and brainstorm ideas, and have a knack for writing and editing articles that resonate with various audiences.

• Write articles that are optimized for keywords provided, including fact-checking and following our company’s style guide.
• Ensure all articles meet SEO requirements, and our internal standards, as required.
• Use ChatGPT, as well as other online tools, to assist with brainstorming and optimizing content.
• Meet all deadlines, as provided.
• Work with management to develop and execute content strategies.
• Attend meetings (via Zoom) as needed.

MUST HAVES

Here’s what you’ll need: Do you have experience writing, editing, optimizing, and creating online content? Then we want to talk!

• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of SEO best-practices.
• Creative, with the ability to think outside the box.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organization.
• A flexible schedule (this position is freelance and remote, but you must be able to take daily assignments, as required).

NICE TO HAVES

• Proficiency with Google Docs and Google Sheets.
• Experience with Canva.
• A portfolio of published work to show off.

This is a part-time, 3-month freelance contract (April to June 2023), with a possibility for extension.
