POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting Manager will support financial integrity and accuracy through daily management, problem-solving processes, and strong internal controls. The Accounting Manager will also support in the accurate and timely closing of the accounting records and month end reporting. This role is part of a global team and will work alongside and in conjunction with our USA accounting and finance team to provide information locally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monthly financial reporting: Monthly P&L reporting, internal stakeholder management, balance sheet reconciliations.
• Financial analysis: Regular KPI reporting and internal reviews. Provide interpretations and recommendations on business productivity reporting.
• Accounting technical compliance: Knowledge of applicable accounting standards. Continual review of current accounting processes and recommendations of changes to ensure compliance.
• Statutory reporting: Preparation of annual position papers and assistance with the annual audit. Assist in the preparation of the annual financial statements.
• Taxation compliance: GST, FBT, Income tax and Payroll tax reporting and lodgment with the ATO as required, including tax effect accounting. Assist with audit activities as required.
• Process improvements: Ongoing reviews and recommendations on current internal processes. Ownership of allocated process improvement initiatives.
• Experience with US GAAP with local IFRS
• Experience in embedding strong internal controls (SOX or equivalent)
• Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal
• Ability to engage stakeholders and build meaningful relationships
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills for effective project management and delivery
• Be willing and adaptable to expand knowledge of the broader Financial Accounting function’s processes

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 8 years accounting experience, manufacturing experience an advantage
• CA/CPA preferred
• Experience in leading financial accounting/transactional department and be deadline driven
