Our client is undergoing an exciting phase of business expansion looking for an experienced Project Accountant to join the Brisbane team, on a permanent full time basis. This role suits someone looking for a challenging Project Accounting role and long-term opportunity, that doesn’t mind still getting involved with transactional duties.

As the Project Accountant you will be the conduit between the projects and finance team and deal with a variety of stakeholders within the business, working on a fantastic project. You will be responsible for, but not limited to –

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparing project budgets, variance analysis and reporting
• Prepare and process journals and reconciliations, track project expenses and costs.
• Working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders in a project environment, across both finance and projects teams
• Maintain project accounts in the finance system and manage project accruals
• Improve project accounting processes
• Work closely with the Accounts Payable team on processing invoices and timely payments
• Resolve Project accounting issues and variances

About You:

• You will be Degree Qualified in Accounting, Business or Finance and CA or CPA Qualified.
• Demonstrated multiple years’ experience in a project accounting role within a large complex business.
• You will be an excellent communicator and multi-tasker, with the ability to see the big picture, and translate the numbers into meaningful feedback to the business.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Great Communication Skills
• Full Working Rights
