Recruiter Job Description
Summary
Recruiters are responsible for attracting quality candidates and matching them to temporary, temp-to-hire or direct hire positions with client companies. They work with client companies to build relationships in order to gain a better understanding of their recruitment needs and requirements.
Typical work activities
Recruiters provide a vital link between clients and candidates. The role involves:
o Using sales, business development, networking, and marketing techniques to attract business from client companies.
o Develop a thorough understanding of client companies, their industry, and their work culture and environment by building relationships with the clients via phone calls, client visits, and other communication.
o Advertise vacancies by drafting and placing ads in a wide range of media platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Monster, CareerBuilder, etc.
o Identify and approach suitable candidates to determine qualifications through emails, phone calls, and interviews.
o Source resumes, interview applicants, conduct background checks and drug testing, administer software application testing and personality testing, etc.
o Manage candidates and clients using Bullhorn ATS system.
o Request references and check the suitability of applicants by receiving references from direct supervisors to submit to client
o Coordinate interviews with clients, coach candidates on interviewing techniques, and provide feedback throughout the process.
o Present offers and negotiate salaries, provide company benefits, work hours, etc.
o Work towards and exceed targets that may relate to the number of candidates placed, a value to be billed to clients or business leads generated.
Requirements
o Prefer 3 to 5 years of recruiting experience
o BS in related field (Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Marketing)
o Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency based, behavioral style interviews)
o Experience with phone interviewing and in-person interviewing
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Strong decision-making skills
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
