We are hiring a HR Assistant based at our London Head Office to offer administrative support due to the rapid national expansion of one of the UK’s well established, fastest growing Law Firms.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role will support with the general HR administrative tasks.
You will be assisting and supporting whilst aiding the HR department with ad hoc tasks when necessary.
This is an ideal opportunity for the right candidate, preferably someone who is pursuing a career within HR and looking to progress within a well-established, progressive law firm.
Responsibilities:
· Working to assist and support in all areas of HR admin.
· Admin duties could include, reports and letter writing in areas such as absence, performance, and sickness of employees for example.
· Assist with admin around maternity, paternity, parental cases.
· Keeping accurate records on the internal HR system.
· Contribute to various HR projects and initiatives on different levels as required.
· Use initiative to create useful reports and best practice reducing pressure for the HR team.
· Prepare administrative documents such as offer letters, salary increases, reference letters etc
· Conducting compliance checks, right to work and residency checks according to HR policies
· Compiling new starter packs.
· Build, develop and manage positive relationships within the business and promote best practice according to company policies
· Take notes of formal meetings and publish these within a tight timeframe as necessary.
Requirements:
· 2 years minimum experience within an HR office environment
· Ideally candidates that have begun or working towards a CIPD in HR , qualifications/ general awareness, exposure, and understanding across most HR sub-disciplines would be advantageous
· Excellent communication skills both written and spoken English
· Ability to easily collaborate with colleagues on all levels within the business
· Be able to multitask and handle multiple projects and deadlines
· Happy to work independently always maintaining a high degree of professionalism following legislation.
· Possess a proactive approach to accomplishing work with immaculate follow up
· Excellent technology skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
