Peraton is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to support our JCDX Program contract at the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) facility in San Diego, CA.
As the Sub contractor on the JCDX task order, Peraton is responsible is supporting a Multi‐level Security (MLS) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) system providing situational tracking and management capabilities, full message processing tools, and a variety of analysis utilities, along with office, e‐mail, chat, and web browsing applications
As a Software Engineer you will support tasks to continue current operations, support the planned growth as determined by life cycle support, maintenance and sustainment, system administration support, upgrade and logistics support of the JCDX system, networked and deployed globally in support of U.S. Sponsors.
Responsibilities may include:
- The selected candidate shall assist with computer networking to include installation of Red Hat Linux applications.
- He / She shall conduct upgrading operating systems and software patches, troubleshoot and monitoring.
- Provide time critical software and support for 24/7 mission operations.
- Provide training to local operations personnel as required.
- As needed, the selected candidate shall assist with software application development and web-based middleware.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM, BS 0-2 Years or HS 6-8
- Must be able to obtain final TS Security Clearance with SSBI and SCI access. US Citizenship is required
- Basic experience with system installation/configuration and/or basic programming skills
- Travel is required, including both domestic and international; on-site support for up to 30 days may be required
- Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with providing User training
- Experience with maintaining router/switch, other firewall devices, or networking protocols
- Experience with system troubleshooting and performance issues
- Prior US Military experience is a plus

Salary Range: Salary Minimum: $40,000 Salary Mid: $80,000 Salary Maximum: $100,000 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton’s total compensation package for employees.
