The Role
Our Junior Accountant position is newly created as we prepare to scale and work towards our new, strategic, and exciting phase of growth. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be joining a motivated team that is passionate about numbers and leveraging it to improve and re-imagine Pepperstone’s business. Ensuring integrity of financial data, you will be pivotal in improving systems and procedures to provide scalability and ensure the systems and reporting are robust and up-to the minute.

The role may suit a graduate with 1-2 years of Finance experience who is ready to take the next step in building their career in a value driven environment.

Skills & Experience
Your days will include, but not limited to:

• Accurate data entry and managing a high volume of transactions everyday
• Reconciling daily bank accounts for multiple currencies
• Assisting with client money reporting and client funds excess analysis
• Assisting with month-end closing procedures
• Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Assisting in liaising with external auditors
• Ad-hoc support to team members
• Managing cash flow for client funds excess

To be successful, you will have:

• Excellent attention to detail with analytical, reconciliation and overall troubleshooting skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and numeracy skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels within the company
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel at an intermediate level
• Preferred Degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant qualification
