• Hybrid work – WFH and in Office, $140K + super (6-month contract, to perm)

This large, complex business with a over a billion turnover and steady growth year on year, have a rare opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant/ Financial Controller to join the huge Finance team on a fixed term contact basis with a view to perm. You will enjoy a supportive and inclusive working environment as well as a hybrid work situation.

The Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the responsibilities of the role will include,

• Co-ordinate month process, leading and driving month end close
• Facilitate the completion of year-end financial audit and preparation of financial statements
• Audit preparation and liaison (prepare papers as required)
• Tax compliance, preparing BAS, FBT, rebates and government grants
• Project work, Reviewing internal controls, Applying Leasing standards
• Process improvement and streamlining
• Leading and mentoring team of 5 Accountants
• Management and Board reporting

About You
The successful applicant will have/be,

• CA or CPA qualified with many years commercial experience
• Technical accounting exposure and responsibilities
• Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven leadership experience (inclusive and supportive style)
• Strong time management and ability to meet strict deadlines
• Strong understanding and application of new accounting standards (IFRS)
