people2people are partnering with an ASX listed business who required an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team as soon as possible on a temp to perm basis. Due to rapid growth and acquisition this is a newly created role.

The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller the responsibilities of the role will include,

• Review of monthly/quarterly management accounting packs of subsidiary companies
• Preparation of Financial statements and consolidations
• Preparation of month-end group consolidated management reports and review of Inter-company reconciliations
• Assist with preparation of half year and full year consolidated statutory accounts for the Group and statutory audit
• Managing the compilation of the Australian company corporation tax returns and relevant support schedules
• Corporate accounting for the Australian listed entity, balance sheet reconciliations, month end journals and analysis.
• Compiling all secondary tax submissions for BAS, Payroll, FBT

About You
The successful applicant will have/be,

• CA or CPA qualified with experience in large, complex businesses
• ASX listed experience will be highly advantageous
• Strong technical accounting background (Audit experience highly regarded)
• Ability to commence at short notice and ‘hit the ground running’
