The Company

We are working with a successful, well established mining company based in Brisbane CBD. They are looking to appoint a senior finance manager in the day-today running of the finance team. As a senior finance leader, this will support the rest of the SLT in all operational areas, including finance.

The Role

The GM of Finance will provide the financial, administrative & risk management operations for the business. The finance team has grown in recent years, and requires continued development whilst ensuring adequate systems and processes are maintained.

Further key accountabilities will include:

Work with the site GMs and provide general support and guidance

Directing the establishment of financial/accounting principles, procedures and practices in line with legal and corporate requirements.

Ensuring that the performance of the Company is protected through the establishment of effective financial controls, implementing and maintaining appropriate management accounting and reporting systems & controls, budgetary controls and expenditure procedures.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have previous experience within the mining industry, having gained both operational and corporate experience in previous roles. You will have both a hands on nature, but also be able to see the bigger picture, and work across the business and support various stakeholders.
