An exciting opportunity with a global premium luxury group who is going through a rapid growth is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will play a significant role in statutory reporting, management accounting and periodic reporting, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries. You will be mentored by the Senior Finance Manager, work closely with the General Manager in Finance, and CFO with opportunities to progress further within the business.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring supporting documentation is available for all key positions
• Accountable for the preparation and performance commentary of all periodic management reporting (incl. daily / weekly / monthly reports/cycles). Analysing data and working with key stakeholders to ensure all reporting obligations are met on an accurate and timely basis. Understanding key business drivers and providing insights to key stakeholders is crucial to the success of this role
• Assisting with the preparation of bank covenant reporting obligations to ensure they are met on an ongoing basis
• Daily cash flow reconciliation and distribution
• Assisting with the preparation of all annual statutory reporting. Consolidation requirements and reconciliation of all underlying records to final statutory reporting positions
• Co-ordinating and managing the external audit process together with the Senior Finance Manager
• Maintain and develop the monthly management information pack, including a focus on key drivers and variance analysis
• Tax compliance and reporting (ITR / BAS / PAYG, etc.), including assistance with the preparation of annual returns, monthly BAS submissions, and other regulatory requirements as required

You will have:

• CA/CPA qualification and Degree level qualification in Accounting or Commerce
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of SAP or similar accounting software
• Ability to interpret financial information and explain in non-finance terms
• Excellent communication; both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills
• Proven report writing skills
