The business has grown both organically and through acquisition and are now looking to re-start their growth strategy with COVID hopefully behind us. About the role

• Prepare monthly report of performance & key metrics (e.g. sales, costs, profit, balance sheet).

• Provide variance analysis of the monthly results in comparison to prior month and budget; commentary on performance, including identification of issues and recommendation of corrective action as required.

• Ensure the accurate and timely processing for all accounting journals as required to maintain accurate finance records.

• Prepare and maintain general ledger reconciliations and maintain Fixed Asset Register for a small portfolio of assets.

• Prepare Statutory Reports as required.

• Prepare BAS returns, Fringe Benefits Tax returns and Income Tax work papers for external tax agents.

• Preparation of Research and Development application work papers.

• Provide financial analysis of Research and Development projects against project budgets.

• Assist with the annual budget and rolling forecast by providing input relating to the Asia Pacific entities.

• Maintain payroll information and process payroll for Australian operations – salaried employees. Superannuation, PAYG, Workers Compensation reporting.

• Support dedicated officers based overseas as necessary, including coding of supplier invoices.

• Assist with processing and approve supplier payments within the banking platform according to delegations.

• Any other appropriate tasks as required.

The Successful Candidate

You will be at least degree qualified and studying towards your CA/CPA. You will be the ‘go-to’ person within the business with good eye for detail and a willingness to get involved.
