The role:

Based at their new site, you will be reporting directly to the ACPAC Financial Controller while developing and maintaining strong working relationships with the local Leadership team and line managers. This is a broad role that will allow you to work across the finance function on both the day to day and projects. Newly created, the Financial Controller is looking for an energetic and proactive accountant to mentor up in the business.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:-

• End to end month end activities including accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of upload files into Group Reporting system (Hyperion)
• Assist with year-end audit, statutory reporting and tax matters
• Compliance matters including BAS and FBT returns
• Assist with insurances for motor vehicles, workers compensation
• Approach duties with a focus on improvement, aiming to streamline and automate where possible and assisting with improvement projects – accounting system transformation slated for 2022, payroll system upgrade and others
• Backup and assist other team members in times of leave or high throughput
• Adhoc duties and assisting with reporting requirements where needed
• Other duties as requested by Financial Controller and VP Operations

About you:

At least partially CA/CPA qualified with a proactive and hands on approach, you will be technically competent and enjoy working in a broad finance role. First movers from mid-tier and big 4 will also be considered. You will demonstrate:

• Strong intermediate excel
• Systems savvy with a focus on continuous improvement and automation
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships across the business
