Our client is a well-established, specialist environmental services business with a growing market presence and a potential IPO in the works, 2022 is set to be a massive year for the business.

About the role

Due to the ongoing growth, our client has created an Assistant Accountant role to join their team, playing a key role across their month end, projects, budgeting/forecasting and IPO. Reporting though to the GM Finance, you will work across:

• Reconciliations – GL, Balance Sheet, P+L, credit cards, bank
• End of month reporting and analysis
• Support the preparation of financial statements
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Preparation of audit workpapers
• Back up to AP/AR
• Work with finance and the broader business to drive process improvements and cost savings
• Other ad hoc projects as required

About you

Degree qualified and at least part way through your CA/CPA, you will describe yourself as a self starter who enjoys working both autonomously and collaboratively. You must be willing to learn as this is an growing business and the role will evolve with ongoing development and exposure. You will also demonstrate:-

• Previous end of month experience
• Understanding of accounting standards
• Strong reconciliations and attention to detail
• Intermediate Excel with experience in v-lookups and pivot tables
