A unique leadership opportunity to write the next chapter for a leading organisation dedicated to driving social change and innovation in Australia.
The organisation
Operational since 2010, The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI), is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to driving social change and innovation across all sectors in Australia. Operating at the intersection of government, business, and communities, TACSI seeks to tackle complex social challenges through matrixed innovative solutions in cross-sector partnerships. With a mission to empower individuals and communities to create positive and sustainable change, TACSI employs a range of methodologies including co-design, prototyping, and systems thinking to develop and implement effective strategies.
At the heart of TACSI’s approach is the principle of co-design, which involves collaborating closely with end-users and stakeholders to develop solutions that are truly responsive to their needs. By actively involving those affected by social issues in the design process, TACSI ensures that its interventions are both relevant and impactful.
TACSI’s work spans a wide range of social issues, including healthcare, education, employment, and housing. Through its projects and initiatives, TACSI aims to address systemic inequalities and create opportunities for marginalised groups to thrive, remaining committed to driving positive change and building a more inclusive and equitable society.
The role
The Board of TACSI is seeking a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation through this next exciting chapter. Accountable for delivering on TACSI’s purpose and strategy, the CEO will grow the organisation’s influence and impact through the leadership of a strong, purposeful networked team of staff. A recognised leader in social innovation, the CEO will cultivate a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence, leading an inspiring multidisciplinary team to deliver on TACSI’s purpose and strategy.
The role requires an exceptional people leader with vision, aligned values, strong stakeholder management skills, ambition, and an ability and willingness to advocate for the work and growth of the organisation. You will have a broad executive skillset, strong interpersonal skills with a focus on developing culture and a commitment to social innovation. Professional relationship and partnership building skills with a history of building and nurturing ongoing collaboration with government and stakeholders will underpin your approach.
Recognised as a thought leader, you are a personable, results oriented and inspiring leader whose practical, outcomes-oriented approach and operational skills are at the core of your success in achieving organisational delivery and amplifying social innovation for impact.
