On behalf of our client, Synergy Credit Union, we are currently recruiting for a Financial Services Advisor in Macklin, Saskatchewan. As a Financial Services Advisor, you will be working in a retail banking environment where you have a meaningful impact on the financial wellness of their members.

The ideal candidate is a relationship builder. You’re motivated, with a strong problem-solving and organizational skills. You’ll be a part of a team of knowledgeable professionals who share a genuine commitment to working with and delivering exceptional service to our membership, including on accounts and deposit products, consumer investments, and lending products and services (sch as consumer and small/business/ag loans and mortgages).

What are Financial Services Advisors responsible for?

• Meeting with members to understand their priorities, advise them on solutions, and provide a forward-looking financial plan.
• Identifying opportunities to successfully meet the member’s needs and plant seeds for future products/services; and follow ups.
• Promoting retail products including loans, mortgages, investments, mutual funds, credit cards and account package services.
• Granting credit and managing a portfolio of members with consumer products.
• Engaging in marketing and outreach activities to deepen existing relationships and proactively seek out new business opportunities and new members to grow the business.
• Collaborating with internal teams to deliver strong results to the members.
• Completing activities that are aligned with legislation and Synergy’s policies and procedures.

What skills do you need for this role?

• You have a related post-secondary education (i.e., a Diploma or Degree) with a minimum of two years of related experience.
• You have previous experience in sales while working with goals, strong closing/referral techniques and pipeline development.
• You have relationship and/or business development skills conducive to creating and maintaining a sales pipeline.
• You can efficiently complete tasks with various software programs.
• Mutual Fund Accreditation is considered an asset.
