Penta Equipment Inc. Hiring for Production Manager (Glencoe, ON) at London, ON Full Time

We are an agricultural manufacturer specializing in the production of TMR mixers, spreaders and dump boxes. With over 25 years in business, we’ve proven to be a leader in the development and production of innovative and robust agricultural farm equipment.

We have two production facilities in Ontario located in Glencoe and Thamesville. Our products are manufactured in our Glencoe facility and then transported to Thamesville for final assembly and shipping.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee all assembly production activities at our facility in Thamesville, ON. The Production Manager is responsible for effectively managing the company’s resources to improve productivity, minimize downtime, increase profit, and reduce costs. The core responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

Coordinating and monitoring the flow of production orders to the floor; forecasting work and identifying potential problems in workflow

Developing and maintaining capacity planning tools to monitor plant capacity and ensure an optimal level of production capability is available to meet the forecasted demand

Supporting the development of annual budgets and executing plans to meet the productivity goals of the organization

Participating in the development of capital planning and equipment selection for manufacturing improvements by providing consultation relative to the difficulty of running parts, plant flow, and product/process/labour needs

Performing root cause analysis of production issues and facilitating the appropriate corrective action

Using the data acquired through root cause analyses to improve product quality

Performing continuous analysis of current production processes and preparing proposals for improvements

Our Ideal Candidate

Has 10+ years of experience in a production / manufacturing environment

Has 5 + years of relevant supervisory experience

Is proficient in the Microsoft Suite of products, primarily Outlook and Excel

Has strong mathematical skills

Is a big-picture thinker who possesses a wide degree of creativity

Has a high level of emotional intelligence
