Penske Hiring for Senior Operations Supervisor – IT at Romulus, Michigan Full Time

The Senior Operations Supervisor- IT will assume ownership of all IT processes at a large refrigerated distribution center for a major retail chain. They will utilize their local team, and work with corporate and area contacts to maintain the network, PCs, computer picking equipment, and all other IT assets.

Areas of responsibilities include

Manage location:LAN, DHCP server, NAS
Workstations, office printers, industrial printers

Lead and develop local IT team to meet site objectives

• Ensure compliance with corporate and area IT teams
• Work closely with customer systems support personnel acting as chief liaison for the facilities
• Build and support effective and harmonious relationships
• Provisioning and administrating end user permissions
• Develop and provide training to end users in system application and WMS
• Ensure the security of facilities systems are not compromised
• Trouble shoot issues related to attendance and payroll systems
• Other duties as assigned by management

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

• 3-5 years’ IT experience in distribution center
• A solid understanding of TCP/IP, server infrastructure, and reporting program development
• Strong impetus towards customer service
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
