Then Penrith Early Learning Centre (PELC) is the place for you! We are seeking a full time, Diploma qualified Educator to join our team.

About the role

As an educator at PELC you will be required to contribute to the care and education of children as an active member of our teaching team. The position is full-time, and we can be flexible on hours. On the job training is provided in a nurturing, supportive workplace.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Observing & assessing learning and keeping appropriate records.

• Contributing to the development and implementation of the curriculum.
• Contributing to the set-up of the learning environment and learning activities.
• Have a strong, confident, and motivated personality with an ambition to provide education and care to a standard of excellence.
• Commitment to ECA Code of Ethics.
• Supporting educators with programming and daily duties.
• Liaising with and consulting with parents whilst maintaining confidentiality.
• Comply with and keep up to date with PELC Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure the safety & wellbeing of all stakeholders.
• Support, guide, and promote positive behaviours.

Successful applicants:

• Must hold a completed, ACECQA recognised Diploma in Children’s Services (see this list https://www.acecqa.gov.au/qualifications/nqf-approved?list=1361 )
• Must hold current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma management qualifications or be willing to obtain one.
• Must have a current Working with Children Check.
• Must have a minimum of 2-3 years floor experience in an early childhood setting.
• Must be confident in planning an educational curriculum.
• Must have competent computer skills.
• Demonstrate genuine enthusiasm and passion for the profession.
• Demonstrate highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a desire to grow professionally and personally and the drive to learn everything they can about Early Learning.
