Job description
We are currently looking for an HR Assistant/Advisor to join our team. This role is not a typical HR Assistant role and will appeal to someone who enjoys variety and can interact confidently at all levels in organisations. Some HR knowledge and experience is essential but the ability to build good customer relationships is equally important, as is the desire to learn and develop.
You will support our clients with a range of services, including:
· Advising on day-to-day employment matters
· Drafting policies and procedures for each element of the employee relationship
· Coordinating recruitment campaigns
· Drafting job descriptions and person specifications
· Implementing performance management processes
· Managing and monitoring our on-line HR system on behalf of clients
You will have the opportunity to work on-site with our clients from time to time a UK driving licence, car and willingness to travel in the north of England is preferable.
You will also need:
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· The ability to think on your feet
· Problem-solving skills
· Attention to detail and a methodological approach
· Mental agility to manage a variety of clients
· A basic understanding of employment law
· CIPD qualification (or willingness to achieve this)
