Traffic Engineer – Slough

Our client, a market leading engineering consultancy who has previously won CIHT’S Employer of the Year, is looking for a Traffic Engineer based in Slough.

You will join a vibrant team and work on prestigious projects mainly based across the South-East of England, this role will enable you to advance your career whilst achieving personal growth and development.

It is essential that the applicants have;

• A relevant degree or HND/HNC (preferably in engineering) or equivalent qualifications.
• Membership of a professional institution (e.g., MILT, MICE or MCIHT).
• Experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing traffic or highways projects.
• Experience using AutoCAD for designs.
• Familiarity with TMA 2004, DMRB, MfS, Traffic signs regulations and traffic sign manuals.

This exciting role will involve;

• Producing technical reports and designs in line with current standards and policies.
• Site visits to gather information on street asset data.
• Collecting and analysing survey data such as modes of transport.
• You will be expected to complete Road Safety Schemes and Parking design using
• Traffic Calming Schemes.
• When necessary, responding to customer enquiries.
• Ensuring all project files are up to date and comply with QA system and develop improved procedures.
