Our client, a well-established Construction organisation that aims to build effective teams across the world is actively seeking Site Engineers to join vibrant and dynamic teams in Essex.

Working throughout South West you will assist in the management/engineering of a major and complex infrastructure projects.

For this Site Engineer role you will be offered a quick start, 7% pension, 25 days leave, a competitive salary, paid over time and much more (including the option to work on sites abroad if you wish).

In order to be considered for this Site Engineer role you will have;

• A sound knowledge of Civil Engineering practices and CDM regulations
• Good understanding of ICE, NEC, JCT and FIDIC contracts
• Ability to co-ordinate design teams and Contractors
• A sound working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical skills and confident in handling and interpreting numerical data and information.
• Good report writing skills.
• Confident communicator both face to face and in writing with all levels.
• Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint packages to competently use computer software to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
• Willingness to learn new skills and knowledge.
• Ability to collate and relate facts.
• Collaboration/teamwork needed to facilitate change initiatives.
• Enthusiastic, positive attitude/proactive, self-motivated.
• Ability to prepare project reports and disseminate to various groups.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Key responsibilities for this Site Engineer role include;

• Undertake site supervision of Civil engineering projects
• Coordinate works on site between different contractors
• Ensure quality control of site works and raise non-conformities with Contractors
• Keep good site records and diaries
• Keep record and monitor use of in-house construction materials & volumes
• Undertake basic site setting out/surveying and monitoring activities
• Ensure all works on site are carried out in a safe and environmentally acceptable manor.
• Management of design works by consultants.
• Contract administration of minor works.
• Monitoring project budgets and claims and flag and escalate problems as necessary.
• Reporting on contract (or elements of the contract) progress and advise on actions needed to keep the project to the agreed programme.
• To prepare and review documentation for regulatory approvals and contract issue.
• Advise and liaise with project stakeholders and consultants.
• Contribute to the continuous business improvement process and to the meeting of business objectives.
• To be an ambassador for the company always internally and externally.
• Comply with Fatal Risk Standards, Health & Safety Policy and safe working practices, ensure responsibility for safety and discipline in work area and report accidents and ‘near misses’ in accordance with defined safety procedures.
