Penguin Recruitment Looking for Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer- Guildford at Guildford, Surrey Full Time

My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Drainage, Civil and Flood Risk Engineering, is searching for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join an established team of specialists based in Guildford.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Surface Water Drainage Strategy and Residential Drainage or Sewerage Designs using Microdrainage.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience managing projects, mentoring team members and completing Drainage Area Planning or managing projects or teams.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to support and train team members and manage and complete Flood Risk, Surface Water and Drainage Projects for Private Sector Clients, Water Companies and Local Authorities. You will also have the opportunity to be trained in Hydraulic Modelling.

Applicants will also be supported to complete the following;

-Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3.

-Surface Water Management Plans.

-Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategy.

-Detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design for S104 and S106 using AutoCAD and Microdrainage.

-Drainage Area Planning.

-Managing Projects, mentoring team members and checking technical work.
