Remediation Engineer- Essex

A brilliant opportunity has presented itself for a Remediation Engineer to join an award-winning Remediation and Enabling Contractor. The company specialise in delivering Remediation solutions on a vast range of projects from fuel spills to Remediation on brownfield sites. The successful candidate will assist with the technical delivery of Remediation and Enabling projects and will have proven experience in a related discipline. Key Skills and Experience Required:

• A degree in a relevant discipline (Geology, Geography, Civil Engineering, etc.)
• Experience working on-site in the relevant field
• Experience of working with asbestos in soil (Desirable)
• Knowledge of sampling, soil and groundwater remedial approaches and soil description (Desirable)
• Strong communication skills and work well within a team environment
• Full and clean UK driving licence

Typical Duties in this role:

• Use AutoCAD to deliver drawings (Training will be provided)
• Liaise with Subcontractors, Clients and Colleagues
• Assist with the production of remediation strategies, risk assessments and method statements
• Assist with the compilation of technical information and regulatory approvals
• Work well with site personnel to ensure health & safety policies are adhered to
• Set up, operate, and maintain soil and water treatment systems
• Maintain and use equipment such as CBR probe, noise meter and PID
• Carry out sampling and schedule laboratory analysis
• Assess test results and ensure site records are kept up to date
