My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Drainage, Civil and Flood Risk Engineering, is searching for a Principal Flood Risk Engineer to join an established team based in central London.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Drainage Strategy, Flood Alleviation and River Restoration.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to lead a new team of experienced Engineers to work on varied Flood Risk, Surface Water, Drainage, River Restoration and Hydrological Projects for Private Sector Clients, Housing Developers, Contractors and Local Authorities. You will also have the opportunity to manage projects and mentor team members.

Applicants will also be supported to complete the following;

-Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3.

-Surface Water Management Plans.

-Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategy.

-Hydrological Assessments.

-Drainage Area Planning.

-Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller.

-River Restoration Schemes.

-Flood Alleviation Schemes.
