EXPERIENCED HIGHWAYS & DRAINAGE ENGINEER

Our client is looking to recruit a full time Highways and Drainage Engineer to join their busy Infrastructure team in Leeds. The team is involved in all aspects of major residential led developments, and also major rail, highway and water schemes throughout the UK and overseas.

This is an ideal opportunity for a suitably experienced Highway and Drainage Engineer to develop their career and work on prestigious projects.

Responsibilities include :
+ Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS)

+ Detailed Drainage Design to support S104 Agreements

+ Detailed Highway Design to support S278 and S38 Agreements

+ Utility Assessments

+ Flood Risk Assessments

+ Earthworks modelling

+ Feasibility appraisals for pre-acquisitions

+ Assist Senior and Principal Engineers in Engineering Design

Minimum Requirements:
+ Civil Engineering Degree and/or Masters’Degree

+ Relevant experience, ideally with a consultant in development infrastructure for residential, commercial and leisure sites.

+ Experienced in working with developer clients and contractors.

+ Skilled in CAD and industry specific design software, e.g. Civils 3D, MicroDrainage etc

+ Proven track record in delivering infrastructure projects.

+ Working towards Chartered status

Preferred Qualifications:
+ Degree in Civil Engineering

+ Working towards becoming a Chartered or Incorporated Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Member of the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management or Member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation.
