CIVIL ENGINEER

£30 000 – £40 000 depending on experience

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join a busy team working on interesting and varied projects across the UK. Our client is a Manchester based Civil and Structural Engineering company involved in commercial, industrial, retail, public building contracts and domestic developments.

The successful applicant will be self-motivated and enthusiastic. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to work efficiently within a team.

The Civil Engineer we’re looking for will have experience in:

• Ground Modelling / Earthworks Design to include geotechnical and environmental appraisal
• Residential Estate Roads, Commercial / Industrial Access and External Areas
• Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
• Flood Risk Assessments
• Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems
• Foul and Storm Water Drainage
• Hydraulic Modelling
• Section 278 / 38 Highway Design
• Managing budgets and projects resources
• Liaising with clients and other professionals working on the project
• Chartered or working towards chartership
• Working with a team of engineers and technicians to deliver projects
• Managing the co-ordination of the structure’s delivery
• Taking part in external meetings with clients and design team members
• Preparation of correspondence and reports.

Personal Skills:

• Developing and maintaining client relationships
• Marketing and networking
• Ability to communicate with colleagues and clients
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence
