CIVIL ENGINEER – HOOK

Our client provides integrated services for major infrastructure and development schemes, having a reputation of designing and delivering some of the most complex projects. They have a proven track record of delivery in residential, commercial, retail, public and infrastructure sectors, with significant project experience in planning, designing and delivering strategic highways and bridges, flood alleviation works, transport plans, major utility installations, new towns, schools/leisure centres, public buildings and business parks.

They are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Civil Engineer to join their office in Hook, Hampshire. The successful candidate will work on the design on a variety of infrastructure schemes and some of the largest and most prestigious developments in the UK.

Essential Requirements:

• S38, S278 Highways design, both preliminary and detailed
• S104, S106 Drainage design, both strategic and detailed
• Design of foul pumping stations, SuDS, flow control structures and balancing facilities
• Residential and commercial external works design including earthworks assessments.
• Civils 3D & MicroDrainage software

Key Skills:

• 2-5 years’ experience in highways and drainage works in the UK
• Knowledgeable with highways layouts (vertical and horizontal)
• Experienced in using Civils 3D and WINDES MicroDrainage
• Knowledge of Flood Risk Assessments
• Able to present technical work in meetings and presentations

Knowledge:

• Must hold a degree in Civil Engineering (ideally 2:1) or equivalent experience.
• Holds or is working towards a professional qualification i.e. MICE/ AMICE or equivalent
• Must be IT literate with experience of infrastructure design software packages.
• Must be technically competent Skills and Abilities:
• Determination to find solutions to problems
• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise way with colleagues and clients Ability to develop client relationships
• Must hold a valid driving licence
