Penderels Trust Hiring for Finance Officer – Appointeeships Job at Birmingham, England Full Time

Penderels Trust has an opportunity for someone to join our Birmingham Appointeeships team. You will be responsible for managing the financial accounts of our customers. The successful candidate will be joining a leading not-for-profit organisation that provides independent living services to people with disabilities and health care needs nationwide.

Location: Birmingham, B11 2AA. A mix of home and office working.

Salary: £8,021 per annum, increasing to £8,182 following successful probationary period.

Hours: 16 Hours per week.

Working Days & Times: TBC. Core hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm.

Closing Date: Wednesday, 8th June 2022.

The Role – Your main duties will include:

• Monitoring and updating customer account trackers (Data entry, processing money requests, reconciling against SAGE reports).
• Liaising with the DWP on matters relating to our customers’ benefits.
• Liaising with the local authority and the Penderels Trust finance department in relation to invoicing and payment queries.
• Authorising payments as stipulated in our customers Individual Budget Plans.
• Identifying and resolving all queries effectively.

Skills, Experience and Qualification – We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

• Experience of working in a finance or accounting environment.
• Ability to input and maintain accurate data records.
• Ability to manage workload effectively.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Ability to work flexibly and to deadlines.
• Minimum GCSE Grade ‘C’ or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Excel and Outlook).
• A qualification in bookkeeping or accounting would be desirable.
