Pembroke Hospital is seeking a Director of Education to join our team!

The Director of Education will provides discipline-focused interviewing process, orientation and onboarding for all staff both patient serving and ancillary staff as a member of the facility’s Executive Senior Leadership Team. Oversees FTEs in Education Department. Is innovative in identifying both opportunities and barriers to educating both experienced as well as new staff to healthcare. Thoughtfully looks at metrics to drive success whilst making changes and creating programming. Identifies and assesses the education needs of clinical staff to ensure that they are competent to provide direct patient care. Provides leadership to Education staff in the patient care delivery system in accordance with Pembroke’s Hospital’s philosophy and established standards of practice of care and policies and procedures. Able to strategically look at programming, data, onboarding, 30-90 day follow up of new employees and move thoughtfully to drive retention.

Qualifications

*

• Bachelor’s Degree required. Associates Degree with at least 3 years of demonstrated experience in an educational/training role will be considered. RN or LICSW welcome to apply; leadership experience required.
• Two years related experience, CPR certified, management experience required
• Ability to communicate effectively through spoken word and in writing
