Leaps and Bounds Pediatric Therapy is a multidisciplinary outpatient private practice seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join their Speech Therapy team. Requirements
- Possess a valid Speech Language Pathologist license
- Clear Livescan
- TB Test
- CPR Healthcare Provider Card
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Regularly stand, bend, stoop, lift and move intermittently during shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to push or pull wheeled equipment over 100lbs

Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent family-centered patient care, aiming to support functional goals and needs of the patient and their family.
- Perform assessments and interpretation of evaluations and test results; determine speech therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription, and carry out a treatment plan that supports functional improvement across the lifespan.
- Provide quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining speech therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
- Help patient accomplish goals outlined in treatment plan and effective use of therapeutic devices and strategies.
- Complete discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records, according to the law.
- Maintain patient confidence and protects clinic operations by keeping information confidential, according to the law.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Develop speech therapy staff by providing information; developing and conducting in-service training programs.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Participate effectively as a member of the IEP team, but providing these services as part of a comprehensive education plan and in accordance with the written IEP, as needed.
