Junior Software Engineering Analyst

PDF Supply Company is a leading worldwide supplier of preowned industrial automation and electrical equipment based in Raleigh, North Carolina. We are looking to expand our Software Engineering and Information Technology team by providing an entry-level software engineer with the opportunity to work alongside our seasoned team of software engineers, contributing to our company’s growth and simultaneously growing as an engineer and as an associate within our company.

The software engineer is not expected to be immediately familiar with our organization’s entire technology stack, but an eagerness and excitement toward learning and growing in these areas will be paramount to the candidate’s success.

Responsibilities of the Junior Software Engineering Analyst will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Independently collaborating with business stakeholders to identify business needs, independently designing, communicating, and implementing solutions using software engineering.
• Contributing regularly to the full-stack development, expansion, and maintenance of business applications, using languages such as PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, and C# with frameworks such as Laravel, NestJS, and .NET Core.
• Collaborating with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and marketing specialists to design and implement customer-facing website interfaces that perform optimally with search engines.
• Collaborating with associates throughout the company to efficiently document, investigate, and resolve software issues.
• Maintaining company databases for operational efficiency, integrity, and security.
• Collaborating with teams across the company to analyze system data and build reports. Maintaining network infrastructure using cloud platforms such as AWS and CloudFlare.
• Providing information technology (IT) desktop support to associates throughout the office.
• Participating in the training and mentorship of participants in the company’s software engineering internship program.

Qualifications

• Required experience with designing and implementing business applications using software engineering techniques.
• Required exposure to building website designs using HTML and CSS.
• Required exposure to maintaining and interacting with databases using SQL.
• Required eagerness and excitement toward learning new technologies and a general open-minded attitude toward technical experimentation and constant cyclical improvement.
• Required exceptional time-management and independent task prioritization skills.
• Preferred exposure to with building business applications using PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#.
• Preferred exposure to managing computing and networking infrastructure through cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Education
Required exposure to software engineering through a Bachelor of Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience through internships or work experience.

Location
This is an on-site position located at our office in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Compensation
Determined on entry based on the qualifications of the candidate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
