As an Accounting Clerk for our Seattle Buildings office, you will contribute to our team by: Assisting with performing clerical and data entry support functions for the district Finance and Commercial Risk department; processing accounts payable and receivable, and project billing support for the office and project.


Responsibilities

  • Supporting the accounting team by collecting, reconciling, and seeking approval and processes through PCL business systems general vendor payments as requested, in a timely and accurate manner to meet payment terms and conditions.
  • Assembling client billings package in accordance with approval procedures and processes through PCL business systems to ensure client is in receipt of billings on a timely basis and payments are received as per contract terms and conditions.
  • Preparing bank deposits and subsequent cash receipt entries where required.
  • Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders, as required.
  • Developing and maintaining strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Other duties as required.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline an asset.
  • Some experience or 6 months to 1 year of accounting and/or administration experience an asset.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and high level of detail orientation required to maintain and submit all necessary documentation and meet deadlines and requirements.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Basic skills using Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge and/or experience with accounting software an asset.
