Pawnee Waste, LLC Hiring for Scale House Attendant/Operator at Grover, CO Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:

The Scale House Attendant/Operator is the first point of contact for customers depositing E&P waste at our facility. Daily responsibilities include, performing initial inspection of loads, collecting, reviewing, and processing the appropriate paperwork. The Scale House attendant/operator also ensures the safety of all customers/visitors, and other employees through observation of company safety rules and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Greets customers and answers questions accurately in a friendly, service-orientated manner.
• Directs haulers and other traffic to appropriate location within the facility.
• Ensures incoming material is manifested and not prohibited or unsafe.
• Collects appropriate information to properly bill customers and track the type and quantity of waste entering the facility.
• Completes transactions by providing customer a scale ticket, signing the manifest, and documenting/inputting the waste material received.
• Communicates dispatch to management and other employees via a 2-way radio
• Keeps immediate supervisor (Operations Manager) fully informed of all matters requiring his/her attention.
• Provides general housekeeping of the Scale House.
• Flexibility to work weekends, overtime and holidays as needed.

REQUIRED OPERATOR TRAINING:

The Scale House Attendant/Operator will undergo appropriate training that covers hazardous waste and PCB screening.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Clear communicator and team player.
• Able to competently use computers and computer software.
• Knowledge of office equipment including but not limited to, computer, phone, copier, Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

SKILLS PREFERRED:

• One year scale house or relevant administrative experience.

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on occasion.
• Ability to sit at desk and use computer for extended periods of time.

• The noise environment may occasionally be moderate to loud.
• Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) part of the workday.
• Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) occasionally.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Compensation commensurate with experience level.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a drug screen and background check after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
