How you’ll have an impact at Paula’s Choice
We’re looking for a solid front-end software engineer to join our team. We’re an e-commerce company, hosted (currently) on Salesforce Commerce Cloud. SFCC isn’t the newest kid on the block, but you wouldn’t know it looking at our front-end stack. We use Typescript, ReactJS, styled-components, NodeJS, Azure and Webpack.

With our small team we build and maintain a public site (paulaschoice.com) that does hundreds of millions of dollars per year in sales, while providing powerful internal tools to our customer service and DTC teams. We collaborate, but not too much. We mentor, but don’t meddle. We meet, but only when we should. There is lots of opportunity to contribute ideas, both in what tech we use to get the job done, and what direction is taken to the site to maximize conversions and revenue for the company. We genuinely care about each other while also getting things shipped.

What a typical day may look like

• Own all client-side code including web sites and applications
• Make the creative vision come to life with pixel perfection
• Write code and unit tests, research creative approaches to solving novel technical challenges, and contribute innovative ideas to the business
• Partner to define our technology roadmap and coding standards, make recommendations, and execute on the plan
• Work with the team to define the work that needs to be done to meet business needs
• Mentor other front-end developers and partner with content/marketing and creative design teams on new features and updates
• Participate in production support rotation
• Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager

The details:
Location: Fully remote within the US
Hours: Typically 40-45 hours per week, will require some flexibility & ability to work until at least 3pm PST
Physical requirements: Ability to handle long periods of both sitting & screen time
Travel requirements: Up to 10%

What you’ll bring to the table

• Minimum 1 Year Experience with ReactJS, Angular, Vue, or similar framework
• Minimum 1 Year Experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Efficient with Visual Studio Code IDE
• Minimum 1 Year Experience with Node Package Manager
• Minimum 1 Year Experience with CSS3
• Minimum 1 Year Experience with HTML, HTML5
• Minimum 1 Year Experience Consuming RESTful APIs
• Ability to deliver “Pixel Perfect” UIs based on mocks

• Production Ecommerce Experience
• Experience Writing RESTful APIs
• Production Experience with ReactJS, TypeScript and Styled Components together
• Knowledge of Publishing Node Package Manager packages
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
