As a Sales Development Representative, you will identify and engage with top tier brands, as well as organise meetings and help pitch Pattern’s services. You will support sales activities in Australia and New Zealand as we accelerate towards our revenue objectives.

This is a role for an outgoing, curious, and commercial graduate looking to start their career in ecommerce. The ideal candidate has previous experience in sales (internships/work experience). Working closely with the US SDR team and Australian Marketing team, you’ll be interacting with colleagues all over the world including USA, Europe, and the Middle East. This is a full-time role based in our modern and friendly office in the Sydney CBD.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Research ecommerce categories and identify high-growth brands/products to trade on Australian Marketplace platforms
• Research relevant stakeholders and identify value propositions
• Network on LinkedIn and offline to build relationships and organise meetings
• Execute outbound sales to penetrate mid-market/SME businesses
• Support the running of discovery calls/meetings and uncover pain-points with prospects
• Schedule appointments for the Head of Sales
• Qualify inbound leads from marketing
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and articulate Pattern’s model effectively
• Record key information in Salesforce, including meeting notes and business information
• Curious, outgoing, and able to become an expert on Marketplaces and Pattern’s services

Required Experience & Skills

• BA/BSc from Top Tier university
• Excellent research skills and business acumen
• ‘Finger on the pulse’ of the latest brands and ecommerce trends
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Creative thinker and problem solver
• Highly organised, motivated, and results-driven approach to all activities with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up-type environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience with Salesforce CRM
• Previous exposure to Marketplaces, specifically (but not limited to) Amazon
• International experience
• Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Outreach
• Proficiency in additional languages is a bonus

You will work alongside the AU sales team and be mentored by the AU Country Manager. You will to the Manager of Business Development based in the US. This team is data-driven and results-oriented. You will collaborate regularly with members of your team and work across departments with other senior level colleagues to implement actionable solutions.
